Skill-Building Workshops

In addition to community calls, we also host workshops focused on building practical skills. These sessions are dynamic and ever-evolving— ranging from guest facilitators and show-and-tells to creative formats you help shape. This is a space where you can practice new strategies, embody liberatory practices, and experiment with different ways of showing up in difficult situations.

Triads

You’ll be invited to join a triad with two other participants, where you can build deeper relationships, create mutual support, and/or accountability. You’ll co-create how these spaces function, making them intimate and personal to what you need.

Online Community

Between sessions, we stay connected through the Volley—a online space for ongoing communication through text, voice notes, videos, and GIFs. Whether you need a quick check-in or want to share an insight, the Volley community will keep you engaged and supported.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Unlike traditional DEI programs, the DEI Potluck focuses on liberatory practices, community care, and embodied learning. It’s not a compliance-driven training or networking event; it’s a space where your whole self is welcomed and where healing and collective growth are central to the experience.

  • Inclusion doesn’t always mean everyone is in every space; sometimes it means creating spaces where specific communities can come together to heal, connect, and grow without the additional emotional labor or pressures they may face in mixed environments. The DEI Potluck is designed specifically for BIPOC practitioners because we often experience unique challenges related to racism, isolation, and systemic inequities that white practitioners may not face in the same way. This space allows BIPOC participants to focus on their well-being, leadership, and liberation, while being fully understood by those with similar experiences.

Creating intentional spaces for marginalized groups is one way to practice equity, ensuring that those who need more support get what they need to flourish. There are plenty of spaces that include all racial backgrounds, and this is one specifically for BIPOC practitioners to address the unique emotional and professional burdens they carry.

  • We’re shifting to a deeper, more intentional model that is a closed container, allowing BIPOC DEI practitioners to form deeper relationships of support. By closing the space and working with a dedicated cohort, we can create the intimacy and trust needed for deeper connection, healing, and collective growth.

  • While we’d love to operate outside the constraints of capitalism, the reality is that we also have financial responsibilities, like supporting our families and covering our business needs. Additionally, this transition ensures that the space is well-supported and sustainable over time, allowing us to provide the intentional care, resources, and facilitation needed to create the depth of connection and support we envision for the community.

  • To cancel your participation, please submit notice by the 15th of the month. If you cancel by this date, your membership will end at the close of the current month. Cancellations received after the 15th will take effect at the end of the following month, and you’ll be responsible for the next month’s fee. This policy helps us maintain the integrity and planning of our program, ensuring a committed, connected cohort.
